Rocker Bret Michaels made headlines this April when he had an emergency appendectomy. Weeks later, he suffered a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding in the thin tissue covering the brain), according to People Magazine. Michaels has rallied from the intensive care unit, and is speaking to the press. Michaels previously gave an interview to Diabetes Health Magazine. The former lead singer of the 80s band Poison described learning how to manage his type 1 diabetes after he was diagnosed at age 6. (Getty Images)
